an inky black silk sherwani. The jacket features an abstraction of the Tree of Life brimming with bejewelled peacocks and other avian motifs as well as hand done miniature paintings of various birds and floral bouquets, which are embossed and meticulously appliqued inside gilded frames. The embroideries are rendered with tonal resham aari ka kaam and zardozi embroidery (inspired from a late 19th century robe from our personal archive), using dabka, naqshi, sequins and pearls. It is paired with slim fit pants and an embroidered dushala. The look is completed with a pair of hand crafted mojris.

The Kaleidoscope collection finds its roots in old portraits of erstwhile royals hailing from Kapurthala, Patiala and Baluchistan as well as fragments of vintage jewellery, Mughal inlay work and the age old technique of jaali ka kaam. The vivid color pallete as well as classic silhouettes such as kalidars, shararas and kaftans make each ensemble a must have for all occasions!
